She has been diagnosed with refractory bipolar disorder and has been through numerous psychiatrists and tried many medications, and so far she has not been able to get better. Lately she's been having a lot of suicidal ideation and we've found a treatment that may finally help her. However, it is an invasive and very expensive treatment.
