Confidence in who and what we are is sooooo essential to living a life that you can feel proud of. I am proud of this. Of all the versions of me in these photos over the past 2 years. The Leatherman I was at 22 and the Leatherman I am now at 43. IML, was what first helped me feel that yes in fact I did see others like me in the gay world. It showed me that, I did in fact belong. That there was a home for folks left of the dial like me. I hope I never lose this part of myself. I hope I'm still going to leather runs and doing what I can for my community when I'm 80. To still be designing and wearing and making Leather and Fetish wear. Over 20 years and this is still as strong in me as it ever was.
