She seemed pretty upset over something that happened with Sanja at the club at the end of summer party on Monday. Part of what happened is definitely attributable to Jessica’s inability to handle her liquor, but (if I’m being completely honest) I share a big part of the responsibility too. If you recall, Shortly after I met Sanja she confided in me how she’s separated from her husband and in the process of a divorce because of her affair with a psychotic ex-professional athlete. She’d also told me how her marriage had been pretty strained for some time, which, according to her, was primarily attributable to their inability to have children. She said that she’s had a total of 4 miscarriages over the last 8 years, the most recent of which was within the last 18 months. She seemed so genuinely distraught during our conversation that I couldn’t help but empathize with her. Which led me to reflexively confide back that I’d recently experienced a miscarriage of my own, and that I could definitely relate to what she was going through. I obviously left out the part about the father being one of my y0unger bulls and that my husband is incapable of even fathering more children. But I also told her that maybe Jessica could help her explore a few things related to fertility like she had with me In any event, on Monday at the party (presumably after a few drinks) Sanja confided in Jessica about her unfortunate string of miscarriages and said she was wondering if she could maybe come by her office to discuss some possible last-ditch fertility options. She also told her that I was the one who’d recommended it, given my own recent miscarriage and fertility questions, and even assured her that I’d filled her in completely about my own situation. To which a very tipsy and unprofessional Jessica responded “Of course. Just call my receptionist tomorrow, and we’ll get an appointment all set up.” And then she very stupidly added “But wait... Katerina told you all about Connor?”
