Added 2020-08-25 20:07:48 +0000 UTCUnscheduled post for a quick life update. The air conditioning in our house broke, and it's going to take a few days and most of my human's money to fix it. The humans are doing everything in their power to help keep us cool under our floofy cold-weather-adapted fur coats, but that includes closing all the blinds to prevent sunlight from heating the room. How am I supposed to watch the yard for birds and squirrels now?! And who will yowl at the neighbor's cat if he tries to come up to the house again?! I'm also itching to run around like a maniac from 11pm to 1am, as per protocol, but it's too hot for me to do that for very long. I only got 20 minutes of zoomies in last night! How am I supposed to live like this?! This affront to my sacred duties as a cat must not continue! Fixing this will take most of my human's savings and be another bill cutting into our income, but we will be okay. As promised, nothing here will ever be behind any kind of paywall. We certainly wouldn't object to anything you feel like tipping us, though. Please don't feel obligated, especially if you are having your own financial troubles--like I said, we will be fine. But anything and everything is very much appreciated, even if it's just your well-wishes. And eternal fealty, of course, but that goes without saying. 😼
