Added 2023-03-02 15:37:52 +0000 UTC💎 INTERPRETATION IN FIGURE SKATING 💎 during competition, one of my favorite categories to compete in was the “interpretation” category! during the interpret section of a competition, the judges score the skaters based on how well the judges feel that the skater is performing “with their soul”. during interpret, all of the skaters in the competition enter the ice together and they listen to one random song selected by the competition team. after they listen to the song, all of the skaters exit and return to the ice 1 by 1 to make up a routine to the song they just heard on the spot. the challenge is that you don’t have a pre choreographed routine, so the skater has to use their soul to find their way through the music and make up their routine as they go. i always enjoyed practicing interpret on my own 😁 i feel so free when i am on the ice by myself, playing my own music and making up the moves as I go. perhaps it is because i am using my soul to guide myself through the ice, something truly so beautiful!
