As I got shoot ready, DBasser practiced for his upcoming DJ set that weekend. Being used to primarily being around rock & punk rock musicians, it was interesting to observe & experience how a different genre of musician gets ready for a show! I headed down to Playa Coral to do a solo photo shoot (something I’ve gotten quite used to shooting at home throughout the pandemic) to create some new content for my subscription site. This is where things got really fucked up when a man was hiding behind a rock & MASTURBATING while I was shooting. This was absolutely sexual assault for the fact that it was NOT CONSENSUAL on my end. I was pretty shaken up emotionally by the experience, but was physically okay at least. After that, I headed back into Rinconada to try & calm down. I sat at a restaurant where I ran into my friend Diego from my hostel, Puerto Dreams, & he invited me out with them to Zicatela. After they left Zicatela, I was alone & got sexually harassed by several men as I walked trying to find a place to eat, so I absolutely lost it because it was just too much for one day! I quickly hopped in a cab to DBasser’s. When I arrived I couldn’t hold it together anymore so I had a good cry & DBasser hugged me. Sometimes you just have to let it out! Being back in an environment that I felt safe in, I relaxed a bit then we went out to dance & party it up at Cactus Beach Club!
